GitFolders (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Chrome extension and related services (“GitFolders” or the “Service”).
By using GitFolders, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
When you sign in using your GitHub account, we collect:
- Your GitHub user ID
- Your GitHub display name and email (if available)
- Basic metadata about your repositories (e.g. repository ID, name, visibility)
We do not access or store the content of your code or private repositories.
b. Folders and Preferences
To provide our service, we store:
- Folder names you create
- The repositories you assign to those folders
- Sync preferences and feature usage (e.g. onboarding completion)
c. Subscription and Payment Data
- If you subscribe, we may store your subscription status and plan type.
- Actual payment processing is handled by third-party services, and we do not store your payment method details.
d. Technical Data (Minimal)
We may collect limited technical data (browser version, extension version, etc.) to improve performance and debugging. We do not use cookies or trackers.
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve GitFolders functionality
- Sync your folder data across devices
- Handle account authentication and access
- Manage subscriptions and trial status
- Respond to user support requests
We do not:
- Sell your data
- Share your data with advertisers
- Track your behavior outside GitFolders

- Your data is securely stored in Supabase, a trusted backend platform.
- We use role-based access controls, encryption, and industry best practices to protect your information.
- You can delete your account and data at any time by contacting us.

We only share your data:
- With our service providers (e.g. Supabase, payment processors), under strict confidentiality
- When required by law (e.g. lawful requests by public authorities)
We will never sell or rent your personal information.

You have the right to:

- Withdraw consent and stop using GitFolders
